RioOwner
Hi Folks Does anyone know what on my Swift Rio uses 0.4 amps from the leisure battery whilst everything appears to be turned off?
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums, Mick. Is your Rio’s habitation-area control-panel fully turned off? (This is just a shot in the dark based on the comment in the final posting of this 2007 thread.) http://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Leisure-battery/9529/ 0.4A at 12V equates to about 5W - what a low-power light bulb might draw. Have you a light in, say, a wardrobe or storage-locker that’s not turning off?
RioOwner
Thanks for reply I can't find anything in the habitation area still working although the heating controller is still showing text. The Rio has very little storage so checking lockers is not an onerous Task LOL. Mick
lennyhb
Sounds normal, if you turn the control panel off it will probably drop to around 0.15a you would have to check it manually with a meter if you really want to know.
whiskers
My Swift Rio 320 gives a similar reading. Sargent gave some information about this on the Swift Forum. If I remember correctly it is the normal background figure when the PSU is selected "on".
aandy
Assuming you have taken the 0.4 amps from the display on the PSU, my Sundance is exactly the same. Sargent advised that the displays are not accurate at low readings. I checked with a multimeter, which showed -0.15.
RioOwner
Thanks folks seems as though this is normal so we can leave it at that.
