After reading this it makes me ashamed that i'm British and disgusted at the state this country has got itself into. Gina Miller has received yet more vicious death threats with one offering £5000 to kill her. Social media and emails saying she should be beheaded or "go back to your own country" (too thick to comprehend she is already IN her own country FGS!). I hope the police bring all the perpetrators to justice and they get locked up. All sorts of pretty disgusting bigoted behaviour goes on in this country as we know and I am sure its not just perpetrated by right wing white thugs. Anyone who behaves like that deserves the full force of the law and should expect to be held to account. Trump can expect the same at some point. We don't know the future, but my guess is that those " hurt " by us leaving the EU will be the people who were benefitting from being in it. The rest, who felt their problems were ignored, may well find that being outside doesn't make things any better or worse for them. Whoever, whatever, wherever these kind of threats, intimidation etc occur there is no justification for it whatsoever. Like it or not those pursuing this line of 'attack' on Ms Miller are actually going against what one 'presumes' has got them all fired up......I understand the reason for the attacks on her is because she acted, as is her 'democratic' right under law to approach the judiciary in order to obtain clarification of a legal position. The bottom line is this is democracy at work.......under the protection of the freedoms and laws of the land she has done what she is allowed to do 'LEGALLY' in pursuit of her own beliefs. Those reacting against her, should step back and look at their own actions and one hopes they would realise they are acting against the very 'democratic' process they clearly feel they are in some sick way trying to defend. As a famous quote goes:I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. Methinks those protesting etc could benefit from stepping back and reflecting on their actions. PS. Yes there are people living under terrible conditions of anti social activity, intimidation, threats, abuse and physical violence and the press clearly ignores them......but as the editor of 'The Times' told me some years back when I challenged him over some sensationalist headlines........he said 'Yes it is...it sells newspapers'.
