Pipkim
It seems that we have to re-tune our Avtex TV each day. We are sitting on one site, so not on the move. The only thing that we are doing is watching a DVD at times, but, when we come to switch on the next morning, the channels have to be reset. Are we doing something wrong or is it the TV? EJB
An email or better still a telephone call to the factory will give you the best advice. They are usually excellent and when on the phone will run through the resolution with you! http://www.avtex.co.uk/ PS. The tune should be retained in any one location. Don636
We often experience the same problem and it seems to be linked to the strength of the signal. We added a 240v signal booster and this helps limit the problem. Perhaps you heed a better aerial.
Charles
How old is the TV? I once had a Philips portable that stopped remembering channel presets, it needed a little rechargeable battery replacing on the circuit board.
Pipkim
The TV is about 3 years old - the aerial is a new system with a booster [on new van in March 2015]. I will ring Avtex on Monday to have a chat as suggested PIlgrimPhil
YorkshireGlobecar
It may still be the aerial. We had all sorts of problems, then bought a cheap Avtex powered stick on aerial for about £35, since then we have had no problems at all, even in some poor signal areas.
