Barry38
Recently I inadvertently stalled the engine on my Peugeot Autocruise X250 and the 'service due' warning light came on. It does not require a service but I have been unable to get the warning light to extinguish since. Is there a method which would enable me to perform this task without being taken for a ride at my 'not very local' dealer? Everything connected with the engine works absolutely fine with no other issues.
paulmold
On the earlier x244 model the instructions how to do it are in the vans manual. Is this not the case with the x250?

Derek Uzzell
Barry I think you’ll find that there is no magic DIY trick to extinguish the ‘service needed’ light on an X250 Boxer. The issue has beeen raised here before http://tinyurl.com/hk2lsla The consensus seems to be that extinguishing the warning-light immediately needs dealer intervention, or it may extinguish itself after the vehicle has been driven a reasonable distance (600 miles?). As you know that your Boxer does not need a service and there are no symptoms of a problem being present, I’d be tempted to drive it and hope the light goes out spontaneously. ham
I had the same Problem last year , I knew that a service was due .So I had it done, has I would be in France when it was due. Our trip took us passed the recommended service required . However on our return trip to Calais the service warning light came on?. Same as your problem but the engine was running ok. I had a quick search on the forum asked the same question got some replies and Ok leave and see what happens. Yes after About 800 miles the warning light went out and stayed out. I also had access to a code reader when I got back home and that showed service reqd .I checked with the garage and they checked the service sheet and they had omitted to cancel the warning. 2000 miles on and still all Ok

PJM
PJM - 2017-02-08 10:10 PM This may work https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwico8qwwYHSAhXH0xQKHRZRBBYQwqsBCB8wAQ&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=Qu-os3P2LJUWcRz58IomeQ (Your link doesn’t seem to work - Derek Uzzell) sorry about that it was the result of a Google search for peugrot boxer service light reset. Basically hold down the trip reset button down whilst switching on the ignition, the display shows a countdown to zero and the light goes out.
