Bolero highlevel brake light

A brief follow-up...

I believe you’ll find that the bulbs you want are more generally referred to as “284” type. They were used for vehicle dashboard lighting a well as auxiliary brake lights, so they should be fairly widely available from motor factors or car dealerships.

There are a couple of adverts here

but you might be able to find them locally (Halfords?)

As was suggested on the Practical Caravan forum link I provided in my previous posting, it would be wise to remove one of the failed bulbs from your high-level brake light to allow you to check that it matches the specification of a “284” bulb.

I’m guessing your Bolero’s brake light is one of these

which does use T5/13.5 2.3W bulbs

If your Bolera’s high level brake-light is a Hella 2DA 008 136-017 the complete unit is available from this supplier

The bulbs you need are also mentioned here

On-line comments indicate that (as the light-unit is not sealed like the LED equivalent) water can get in and cause corrosion. You might also find that - if you do need to change the light - it will be ‘stuck’ to the motorhome’s body by adhesive pads as well as held in place by screws.
