Hi guys we are definitely getting a satellite and the oyster 85cm is the front runner , my question is jacksons satellite Wakefield or rhino installers anybody had any work completed by either. Both roughly same price or should I just toss a coin :-D

Do not toss a coin! I've used Jacksons and was not impressed with either the quality of the work, kit or their aftersales,

My current van has a factory fitted dish etc, and needed some help with problems and used Conrad Anderson in Birmingham, what a difference between them and Jacksons. Andersons were excellent, explained everything in English rather than geek speak.

Hi Gunster

On your other current thread you say you are in Maidstone, so either choice will entail a long trip to get a satellite installed.

Have a look at the "Roadpro" (Daventry) website, www.roadpro.co.uk/catalogue/01a-satellite-systems

as that appears to be the most informative, regarding the various systems.

They are still a good distance from you, but closer than your other stated installers.

If the OP is looking to purchase an Oyster system, I'd recommend Oyster Sat-Tech Ltd in Northamptonshire who are UK agents for the product.

My van came already installed with an Oyster satellite. I had a problem in Spain and they were very helpful offering technical advice FOC.

Chat to Anthony Read on 01858 575928 or email info@oyster-tech.co.uk . They carry out installations at their premises but might know of a reliable installer in the Kent area.
