Derek Uzzell
There’s some 2013 suggestions here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=7&TopicID=293917 I believe the ferry to Cherbourg leaves quite early in the morning, so (as was asked on the ukcampsite link above) do you really need a campsite? mildi
I used this one. www.beaconhilltouringpark.co.uk/ it's about 10 minutes away depending on traffic. Mark
Tony Jones
There's a little car park on Whale Island Way, where you. can stay overnight for free. We've used it a few times, the beauty of it is that we can park there and have our evening meal in the van (with a tipple), rather than having to wait until 10 or laterto park in the lines. Rod
Hi, If you really need a campsite South Lytchett Manor is only about 1 mile from the ferry. Otherwise parking is permitted overnight in the port in the ferry lanes provided you are taking the morning ferry. Sometimes there is a £5 fee but most times no one collects it.(see Brittany Ferry website) Toilets are open all night. Only a short walk into Poole Quay if you need a meal Happy travelling
