Barry38 Posted March 2, 2017 Share Posted March 2, 2017 We will be visiting Southend for a couple of days in September. Can anyone recommend a site within a few miles of the town? Although many people are satisfied our past experiences of CL sites have not been great and we would now only use a CL if there was nothing else and then only if recommended, On-site toilets and shower facilities are a necessity. Bop Posted March 3, 2017 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Morning Barry, I can't help you on your quest to find a CL site but I can say that Mrs Bop and I had to stay in Southend and Clacton for a few days in September and we had a great time. There is a touring site out towards Wallasea Island at Creeksea, fairly good facilities but the transport links are non existent and it is about six miles from Southend.
