AndyDakota Posted March 5, 2017 Share Posted March 5, 2017 We've got an Autotrail Dakota with an alarm fitted from new (not sure of the alarm make). Not sure how it happened to me but somehow the grey key fob that is used to lock/enable the alarm and unlock/disable the alarm on our MH. I had gone to the shower block and "she who must be obeyed" followed later, locking the MH with the main black remote/key. When I returned I couldn't open the MH with the grey remote so had to use the key which set the alarm off as soon as I opened the door. This obviously made me very unpopular with the neighbours with the alarm going off. After a call to the dealer he explained the steps to reset the grey key fob. 1. Open Driver Door and Bonnet (everything else shut). 2. Without starting turn ignition on and off four times, leaving it on (you should hear a bleep). 3. Press every button on grey keyfob remote. 4. Turn ignition off. 5. Close driver door and bonnet. 6. Test. Fingers crossed it should work. Handy to keep a note of if you weren't aware.
