If he has had an epileptic fit then its most likely that he will have to surrender his license until he has been fit free for a year when he can apply to have it back. These are the rules that were applied to my father-in-law. He was never able to make another year fit free and eventually sold his VW campervan. It broke his heart. He died a couple of years later.
