Sea fishing

Can't help you with that area, but the North Wales coast line between Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, especially around Penrhyn Bay is apparently one of the best for Sea Bass in the UK.

You can beach Cast or specialised Sea Fishing trips run out of Rhos on Sea's pretty little Harbour.

Last Summer some naughty person got into trouble putting up nets on Penrhyn Bay beach that caught some big Sea bass as the tide went out.

Word got around and other people took the risk to do the same until the Seals that can be seen basking on the Beach at neighbouring Angel Bay got wise and took the fish before they could be harvested, ripping the nets to shreds.

I guess the large stocks of fish are the reason the Seals are thriving, we saw around 30 on the Beach at Angel Bay a few weeks ago, most I have ever seen there.

There are a couple of Restaurants in Rhos on Sea and Hotels in Llandudno that buy the locally caught Sea Bass and it is very nice!!

Along with the freshly harvested Mussels, Lobster and Crab at Conwy Harbour, if you like your Sea food but can't catch it, you can still have a nice end to the day.

Conwy Mussels Company write, "Known for their colourful shells and rich tasting meat, Conwy Mussels are simply the best flavoured Mussels in the UK".

Not the South West Coast as per the OP, but isn't that what Motorhomes are for and you can still 'Free Overnight' on some parts of the Sea Front?

You can also combine it with a trip to the recently voted number 1 best view in the UK : Snowdon.
