You mean exactly the same open borders as you've been enjoying for four months? *-)

The difference is once we are no longer part of the EU........We can prevent those with a criminal history from entering ;-) ......

Flying pigs spring to mind. You're in Cloud Cuckoo again. First of all you lot have to convince whichever future Prime Minister we end up with, UK Border Agency needs restoring. Not only is that going to cost hundreds of millions....you have your present PM May to thank for dismantling it when Home Secretary. Another point to bear in mind when sticking yer X in the box.

Secondly, like your pal Antony you are under the naive impression that crime is simply a "one way street". It's not and never has been. If you think that exiting the EU is going to stop British drug dealers and bank robbers scarpering off to Costa del Crime or Amsterdam to squirrel their ill gotten gains away, then you are a lot more naive than i thought.

Of course we will be preventing people like yourself from remaining outside the UK over three months and that's very easily enforced so you must be feeling well pleased in achieving that.

Good idea.

We'll make it illegal for them to come - that should stop 'em.

Yes we are. The EU’s 2004 citizenship directive makes it clear that the free movement of people within the EU is not an unqualified right and can be restricted on grounds of “public policy, public security or public health”. This means that serious offenders can be denied entry and the right to live in Britain.

What are your thoughts on the Touquet agreement though? The French have indicated that we can take our borders back post Brexit. We do have the right to stop EU citizens entering if they are considered a risk right now but pre 2003 we were getting 80000 illegals per year just through Calais. Since our borders were moved to France this figure has massively reduced. There are many more trying to get in now though so were that agreement dissolved God knows what the figures will be. Add to that the fact that your lot want us to leave the Customs Union then Dover etc will just be in chaos. I imagine it will be a free for all.

Lets stop the dreaded Free movement of law abiding hard working neighbours of the same culture as ours and let in hundreds of thousands of illegals from God knows where.

IF? and are you kidding? Do you think she will do her best to keep illegal immigrants and migrants in France instead of letting them slip off to poor old Blighty who is busy managing 60 mile tail backs from Dover to the M25?

Following the conviction, Conservative MP for Kettering Philip Hollobone said foreigners with a criminal record should not be allowed to enter the country.

He said: 'This was a vicious, horrendous and vile crime, which has tainted our town.

'My heart goes out to the victim.

'Foreign nationals with criminal records should be barred from ever coming to Britain.

'Foreign nationals who commit crimes in the UK should serve their prison sentences in full back in their country of origin and never be allowed to re-enter the UK.

'I am afraid that whilst we remain in the EU, EU nationals with criminal records are free to travel from one EU country to another, but once we leave we can get back control of our borders and we could put a stop to free movement for criminals.'

Yeah Dave but she will be trying to stop them coming in but will not be so fussed about them leaving. France is a big country. I have been to every region in France and the problem is unlike Britain its attached to the rest of Europe. Unless she builds a Trump like wall which will be a challenge as it will have to go over the Alps the flow of Migrants into France I doubt will slow down much. It will probably increase once they know they will be helped on their merry way across to Blighty.

You're being very silly again Dave. Self employment may be fine for someone knocking up the odd pelmet now 'n then but you cannot man essential and emergency services using self employed people. It's no use phoning Citizens Advice when having a heart attack at 3am.....there won't be anyone there.

*-) .........

'[]bI am afraid that whilst we remain in the EU, EU nationals with criminal records are free to travel from one EU country to another, but once we leave we can get back control of our borders and we could put a stop to free movement for criminals.' [/b]

Hear hear :-| ......

No Dave, as I said (you must have missed it) we can do that now. If we havent been doing so why is it the fault of the EU?

...........and you must of missed the bit where our judges have to take into account the human right rulings of the ECJ *-) ...........

Which is why Mrs May wants out, she knows far better than you or I the effect of the ECJ on our justice system ;-) ........

Yeah lets chuck out the WTD while we are at it. Just one of them 'orrible human rights those 'nasty' people in EU introduced. Put everyone on 140hr work weeks with no leave and send kids back up chimneys. :-(

I guess you mean the working time directive? ;-) ...........

Perhaps folk who don't like their terms and conditions could always become self employed >:-) .........

That way they'll actually discover what working for a living really means B-) .........

If folk are dumb enough to work at a job they don't like 8-) ..........Who's fault is that ? *-) .......

That to me is the EU in a nut shell.......Its a charter for idiots (lol) ......

BTW seeing as we have three at the new house.....do you have a useful chimney sized urchin Bullet? ;-) ........

You're being very silly again Dave. Self employment may be fine for someone knocking up the odd pelmet now 'n then but you cannot man essential and emergency services using self employed people. It's no use phoning Citizens Advice when having a heart attack at 3am.....there won't be anyone there.

Are the majority of GP's not self employed then? ;-) ......

You'd be lucky to get a GP at 3am in the morning for an emergency......you'd need an ambulance. How many Ambulance attendants, First Responders, nursing staff, and ancillary workers do you think are self employed?

None......... and all are front line staff. The very first people who will save your life.

There is no technical reason why they could not be self employed ;-) .......

Considering the NHS seems to function on agency staff now days, is it not the next logical step? B-) .........
