aandncaravan Posted April 24, 2017 Share Posted April 24, 2017 We were contacted by a customer whose Sargent EC325 burnt out after a Solar install seems to have gone wrong. The Solar Install company had to cut the EC325 out of the wiring loom, it was so badly burnt, and sent it to Sargent for repair. Sargent responded that it was beyond repair. The combination of customer and the Solar install company then asked if we could take a look at repairing the Sargent EC325 or exchange it for a rebuilt unit. We agreed and Sargent were asked to send the burnt out box directly to us. Looked today at the box that Sargent have sent and it is a fully working unit. Definitely no signs of any burning or damage at all. It isn't new, but is in very good condition. Suspect Sargent Electronics took pity on the customers misfortune following the Solar Install, sending us a good unit to pass on. The Solar company were saying they did nothing wrong, etc. so I am guessing that Sargent have saved the Motorhome owner a lot of hassle and money? Well done Sargent, one very happy Motorhome owner. They returned it with a part refund saying the couldn't find fault with it. Thing was it worked pefectly on return but they were adamant they had not needed to do anything to it - Strange but true.
