Fiat Ducato radio code help

Hi Folks

I have something of a problem with my Fiat Ducato 2015 64 reg Campervan radio. I had some work done on the cambelt and pulley system and on return of the vehicle have discovered the radio has lost its operation. I don't seem to have the radio code it asks for.

I have taken out the unit and can see that it states that it is a Continental radio made in the Czech republic with a serial number listed as A2C 9356 7500000 28485.

Can anyone advise how best to proceed? The radio appears to be a factory installed model without steering wheel controls and worked fine until recently.

Any advice very gratefully received.

Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums.

It might be helpful if you said which campervan you own (make and model) though I think the radio you’ve got is one of the standard head-units factory-fitted by Fiat (ref following link)

I notice that you’ve asked about this on the Fiat forum without any response yet

and I’ve seen the same question asked elsewhere.

As Andy says, I would have thought the Fiat documentation provided with your Ducato should include information about the radio code.

Presumably the cambelt/pulley work was carried out under warranty by an authorised Fiat main agent? If that’s the case and the radio no longer functions as a result of the code being lost during the repair work, it’s really the responsibility of the Fiat agent to fix the problem. Suggest you speak to whoever performed the work, explain what’s happened and (if you are sure you don’t have the code somewhere) ask if they can recover it for you.

Thanks and yes this is the radio unit in question!

Have been on to the local garage who say they are struggling for time to assist with the search for a radio code despite it clearly being a result of their work. They did say they would pay for any related cost of searches etc should it be necessary. The model of Fiat Ducato I have is a Rapido V56. I have been on to the dealer who swears the code was included in the original owner's pack but he seems to have misplaced it. Great fun.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they solved it.

These companies offer to provide radio codes for Fiats based on the radio’s serial number

but it would be wise to check if they can do this for your unit before paying up front.

The Fiat Forum has also seemed able to provide the 4-figure code for some people, just based on information taken from the radio itself.

Otherwise (as you haven’t got the ‘radio passport’) the handbook advises contacting a Fiat dealership and providing them with an ID document and the vehicle ownership documents.

Thanks so much. Have been into the local Fiat dealer with all the documentation and after a bit of a wait they have managed to obtain the radio code (for a fee of course!)

Many thanks to all for your sage advice.
