SAS
Hi all, we gave a Thule tow ball mounted 2 bike rack and I was wondering if it would be ok to leave it on the van during the summer rather than keep taking it on and off every time we use it. We would take the bikes off when at home or not using the van. Cheers.
ron.
I can't think of any reason that you shouldn't leave the rack on full time as long as the bikes are also onboard - we do just that. However, I imagine that there must be some law or other against you using it if the bikes are not there as it then becomes a bit of a dangerous contraption sticking out like towbar types do, unless it is a type that folds up. I wouldn't do it anyway. Ron
crocs
No law exists that says you must take it off when empty. I'm assuming you have the one which has a number plate and lights?
