Gas locker lock.

Hello again,

I'm ready for our first foray in our 2002 Starfire and the only thing I'm having a problem with is the lock on the gas locker door. It turns with the key but still opens, the knob pushes in but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Can someone tell me how it locks please? Or alternatively what I can do to fix it. I can't seem to find it on the net..

Try CAK tanks in Coventry, They stock all sorts of useful locking systems etc. www.caktanks.co.uk. Well worth a look through their website and they're really helpful if you phone.

Should you be able to get through. I've waited ages and just gave up in the end.

Ok problem solved.

Some useless beggar had taken it out and refitted it wrongly *-)

Put it back the correct way and now if you press it in it locks so you can't get a grip to turn it, pop the key in and turn it and it pops out again.

Happy days and thanks all.

Glad you got it sorted.

I've got something similar. As you say, if you unlock it, it should pop out and you can turn to open.

When I open with the key and it pops out, I turn the key to lock it. When you want to lock it, you just close in the normal way and push it in to lock. It saves using the key again. It sounds like you've already sussed that trick :-D
