When I tried to insure my new motorhome ( Adria which is fitted with a Cat 1 Alarm) they were unable to quote. When asked about a refund for the unused 3 months insurance as the underwriter had refused the risk I was told that there was none but I would not owe the Caravan Club any money!!!!!!!! An online quote from the Caravan and Motorhome Club gave a premium of about £600. I have gone elsewhere it appears that they do not want to insure vehicles above £50000 unless you pay a very high premium. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dicksob Posted July 10, 2017 Share Posted July 10, 2017 Sorry to hear that, they certainly don't have a £50k limit on value, did they say why they didn't want to quote? For our new van, we fitted both a cat 1 alarm and a tracker, was referred to underwriter as we were having air suspension, but no problems.
