ham
Tesco club card vouchers are they worth it?. Today I had some points sent me. I noticed that for the period January to May after spending £2k on the card, I had £4 pounds worth of vouchers I contacted Tesco and they told me that is correct you get 1point for every 1 pound spent in a Tesco establishment and elsewhere 1point for every £8 pounds spent on the card, so for over £3k in transactions I get £6 in vouchers I think it’s goodbye Tesco clubcard I can get a better discount on Eurotunnel booking through the CMC
colin
We have Tesco and Nectar cards, the Tesco one appears to give much better value for money, just brought £40 worth of Trentham tickets for £10 of vouchers. We don't go out of way to use the cards, so for us it's an 'extra' we wouldn't get if not using them.

Will86
Collecting points is one of the worlds best marketing ploys to put people in debt. Who could have imagined this years ago when it all started. Yes the gains were good but like many ploys it becomes habitual. Hundreds are now in debt and pay money to companies who specialise in collecting it. All from the simple offer of collecting imaginary points. And how clever is that !!!
StuartO
It's come along way since Green Shield Stamps and I suppose inevitably a bit of devaluing creeps in, as it seems to have done with Tesco Vouchers. We used to use them for Chunnel crossings and they deliver four times value initially, which was later reduced to triple. We stopped using the Chunnel when we started towing a trailer and haven't used Tesco at all for a couple of years since moving house to where tesco does not reach. I checked recently and the benefits for ferry crossings seem to have got worse since the triple days - and we tend to book only an outbound crossing, leaving the return because our touring plans are flexible. Hey ho, that's retailing; they get you hooked in then they wind back on the deal. I don't suppose Green Shield Stamps are what they used to be either. Zydeco Joe
A couple of weeks back I needed two new tyres and in the past I had used Black Circle over the internet and in the price was local fitting plus triple Tesco points . These gave us a good few points that we use on the Tunnel to France but NOW No Points from black circle errrrrrrrr. Is it worth saving the points I don't know as we don't shop normally in Tesco . :'(
PJay
i was saving my Tesco vouchers , as I normally did . Had over £100.00 , then realised that as they no longer do the double your voucher offers, not worth saving for us, as we don't use the Tunnel. I have in the past bought electrical items when they did double vouchers. Half price vacuum cleaner , microwave being 2 of the items . Pity really, as I do all my shopping in Tesco , and we buy fuel at the garage, as cheapest around our area. So for the past couple of weeks . I have used them for my normal shop, so got food for "Free!! " The D M are also changing the offer of saving points for vouchers, , and changing to Nectar points sadly Sign of the times PJay
flicka
Surely it's a matter of choice, if you use Tesco, get the Clubcard to accumulate the points. I had accumulated £50 in points & used them to get a new Electric Razor on sale @ 1/2price. :-D So if I hadn't used them I would be £100 out of pocket :-(
