sshortcircuit
Stripped down unit to discover diaphragm faulty and have ordered a replacement. Difficulty I have now is deciding which way up the diaphragm should go. The Fiamma parts drawing suggests the bottom is at the air valve end, however other Fiamma picture shows an exploded view with the diaphragm the other way round. Will it make any difference? Derek Uzzell
I’m sure it would make a difference if you put the diaphragm in the wrong way round... Presumably you’ve experimented using the faulty diaphragm and found that it can be satisfactorily fitted in either end of the accumulator tank? I would have thought the diaphragm should fit in the ‘water-connection’ end of the accumulator as shown in the attached cut-away view, and this seems to be confirmed by the drawings in this advert http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEAFLO-A20-EXPANSION-ACCUMULATOR-PRESSURE-TANK-compatible-fiamma-caravan-boat-/162432424223
sshortcircuit
Thanks Derek. Have looked again at spares parts breakdown and it is the same. I think brain waterlogged at moment. Regards Hamish
ian81
Having replaced ours I can confirm that the diaphragm points towards the water end. So on reassembly the air side occupies more or less all the space.
