Hi we had a problem with a Pre 2016 Polar silver screen, fit was too tight for the slight change to the 2016 fiat cab, because of this rain water got in via cab doors. Got a refund and contacted Silver screen who produce both Pre 2016 and 2016 onwards, happy to say post 2016 fits perfectly with no problems.

There are subtle differences. If you contact Silver Screens on 01274 872151 they will explain the differences between the X250 and X290 versions. Whether these differences are significant enough to discard an X250 one if you move to an X290 based vehicle I am afraid I don't know as I was buying new for my X290.

The owner at Silver Screens definitely needed to know which model I had before he would sell me one. It is an excellent piece of kit, worth every penny.

X250 and X290 vehicles differ where the windscreen joins the bonnet. This should be apparent from the photos in my posting of 6 August 2017 5:31 PM here

Whether this difference adversely affects the fit of an external cab-glass cover will depend on the cover’s design.

As will be seen from this advert

the Soplair “Thermocover” product (which is what I have) will fit X250 and X290 models
