alan k
Back in 2010 we stayed around Noordwijk and Noorwijkerhout, probably at Duinpark (see above). We picked the weekend of the flower parades which came past or almost past the campsite we were on both for the night time parade and the following day for the main parade. Check for the dates, the parades were quite magnificent. We were close enough to Kirkenhof to ride our bikes there, mainly along field roads and paths We visited the Dunes and the beaches as well but the North Sea is a cold and windy place in April alan & sue
Beltie
Hi Qwark, This spring we stayed at Camping De Nollen just outside Callantsoog. Very easy access to bulb fields on bike or with car. Easy access to the dunes and to Den Helder which is the jumping off point for ferries to Texel. Really excellent site, walking distance to town and close to miles and miles of superb cycle paths. It was quiet out of season. Like most sites in the area, it will be busier when the kids are on holiday. Roger
blaven
We stayed at Camping Op Hoop Van Zegen, north east of Noordwijk, but in all honesty I could'nt recommend it. Dodgy electrics with frequent power cuts due to overloading and push button showers sometimes not all that hot. We were there end of April this year and the weather was mixed. Fabulous flower show in Keukenhoff even though we were worried we might have left it a little late. Well worth the visit, and if you have bikes, take them. Once you get the hang of the bike path signing system, you'll cover miles. Have to say though, we had electric ones! Pretty much impossible to use Visa or Access cards in supermarkets and a lot of shops. Cash is still king.
Madlen
We stayed at Koningshoff camping near Rjinsberg. Very nice site, with mostly bulb fields adjacent to walk or cycle around,, plus very close to Keukenhoff gardens. They run discounted small 12 seater minibus transport from site. Reduced entry ticket price and no queueing for tickets as they are issued at reception. Enjoy.
