New Camper Site in Calpe Spain

There is a new camper site (not an aire) opened in April in Calpe. www.campingsoldecalpe.com

i thought would be useful to any one going that way.

Calpe Mar site is fully booked until March 2018 . We were there from beginning of September, and they where turning vans away every day.

We had a walk round the site , it was fairly empty to start with, but by October was fairly full.

Good facilities, pool, snack bar. A bit sparse at the moment as the trees have not yet been planted. position not as good as Calpe Mar, as not so close to the main town, and there is building going on close by. Not a problem if you have bikes Convenient for Lidl's and the police station a couple of blocks away Much easier access to pitches, especially for larger vans Currently offering discounts for 2017

Was in Calpe last winter twice first managed to get the last pitch on the campsite close to Mcd's aroud mid January the second time a few weeks later site full so wild camped along with loads of other vans from many countries with no problems. Did see the 3 new camper stops being built and look forward to trying one out this winter. Thanks for the web link will check it out but don't like booking any site so will just turn up. B-)

Stayed their for a week in June. Really helpful staff and state of the art shower blocks. As mentioned its very open as the trees have just been planted but for winter sun who needs shade. Pitches marked out by brick edging and site fees are governed by pitch size. Standard or large.

When we stayed, there were only 20 vans on site ,so masses of space. Just heard from a friend that there are about 90 vans at present ,mainly French. As already mentioned a stones throw from Lidl and the weekly market.

Not sure I would be so keen when full as you would need to get on with your neighbours !! Short walk to the beach and cycle paths everywhere. There is building work going on by the site entrance.
