Gregors
Hi All I have recently just purchased a 2006 Pilote Exporter G713 LG Motor home on a Merc chassis However I can't find the domestic batteries anywhere. I bought the MH through a broker who also does not know where they are. Please can anyone advise me on this, I have search all the obvious places. The solar are charging the batteries and the gage also shows them charging so they are defo there somewhere. Kindest Regards Chris

alanedwin
I have a 2003 pilote on a merc and the batteries are under the bonnet, one on each side. Well 2 on one side if you include the engine battery. :-)
Derek Uzzell
Chris As Alan has said, I also thought that - on older Mercedes-based Pilote Galaxy models - the starter and ‘domestic’ batteries might both be in the engine compartment (and not very accessible). However, having browsed through similar “Where is the habitation battery on Pilote Galaxies?” questions on French forums, if you can’t find that battery in the engine compartment I suggest you look for a lidded compartment in the floor beneath the dashboard on the left side of the cab. If the habitation battery is not in the engine comparment nor in the cab area, the likelihood is that the habitation battery will be in an underfloor compartment somewhere (you might have to lift carpeting). If nobody here can provide a definitive answer andyou still can’t find the battery, I suggest you ask Hayes Leisure where it might be http://www.pilote.co.uk/index2.html contact the Pilote Owners Association http://www.piloteowners.co.uk/ or ask your question in the Pilote section of the MotorHomeFacts forum. http://forums.motorhomefacts.com/62-pilote-motorhomes/
Gregors
Good Morning Alan & Derrek, Thanks very much for the advice. I did have a good look under the bonnet last night however couldn't see anything however did see additional fuses and someone had written something also which I couldn't make sense of. This now would make me think that the additional battery is somewhere there or in a compartment posiably where the jack is also kept ! I will have another look later and confirm once i have found it. Thanks for the info and links. Kindest regards Chris
Gregors
Hi Derek Just for your info, i have just spoken with Hayes Leisure and they have confirm that the batteries are in a compartment between the dash board and the passage door. Just checked and guess what they are thanks again Chris
