witzend
It's OK for overnite and you'll have company no need to be driving around looking for anywhere in the dark
StuartO
A viable alternative might be what we call the Elephant Aire, just SW of Santander we used as our first night stop in September, which was a pleasant stop. There is a large parking area on tarmac, so no real risk of it being full and you can stroll 100 yards in the morning alongside the elephant enclosure of the adjacent zoo! The approach is through some narrow streets in a village but nothing too scary in the dark. It's just S of the motorway and would be about 20 minutes from the Port. Coordinates in the All the Aires book.
fesspark
Ref the Elephant Park,We have stayed there several times always on the way home,I thought somehow it took a while longer to the port than 20 mins, If you are right we will probably stop there,Fesspark
BKen1
OK as other stops are being suggested how about this one Las Llamas near the port and good reviews in Campercontact 43.472220° -3.803610°
