Agaric
You can buy an extraction key to take the barrels out, that way you can find out if they are corroded or worn out. there is a number on the side of them so you can get replacements with the same code so you can still use the same key. StuartO
Try squirting a small amount of WD40 on the key and then using it to operates the lock a few times - which should free things up. Repeat for the other locks.
potus4388
I had the same problem with my garage door, the gas locker and the battery locker. WD40 worked a treat, now they work perfectly!
Brock
I use WD40 if I think there is water or dirt in the lock; PTFE Lubricant or graphite powder [spray available] for regular maintenance.
witzend
I use WD40 regularly when the locks start to get a bit stiff. I use the small pipe usually supplied insert into key hole and give them a good wash out to remove road grime
Derek Uzzell
There is a good deal of on-line advice about lubricating vehicle door locks https://tinyurl.com/ybnhw23f and this YouTube video-clip compares 10 different products I’m not a fan of tradional multi-use WD-40 for lubricating door locks as - although it will be effective - it’s mucky stuff. I prefer to use another WD-40 product as described/advertised here https://wd40.co.uk/wd-40-specialist/anti-friction-dry-ptfe-lubricant/ https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/lubricants/7577134/
