Winter in rv

Hi. I know that modern rv are ready for winter. Do they have specail winter package and what is it? special floor and walls....what else?

and when it become cold in rv. after -20 C?

Hi Natali most winterisation packages consist of heating elements being fitted in any external tanks to stop them freezing. All the tanks on my brave are fitted in the double floor which is heated by the normal RV underfloor gas heating.

 

 

As most RV's are well insulated anyway (the yanks don't worry about weight) no further insulation is necessary. The couple we bought ours from went through a Canadian winter in it, with temperatures down to 40 below, and said they had no problems.
