In November 2006 we purchased a new but old stock unsold Knaus Sport Traveller 2005 501D for what we feel the bargain price of £22,250. We were told right from the start that this was a 2005 vehicle. We know that it only has the 2.0jtd engine and that was probably the reason that it did not sell but decided that that would do just fine. We thought we get something a little more comfortable than our 03 VW Topaz, and previously a converted Land Rover Defender (Mostly for Iceland trips) and a 1600 non- turbo charged VW transporter. This Knaus is just heaven for us with beds to die for - however - My comments are concerning the sales man David Woodruffe at the Knaus importers in Widley, Hampshire. He really is a star. As well as high professional standards, being very polite and helpful we later noticed that he was also answering emails to us while he was on holiday, and this was after we had taken delivery of the motorhome! If you are looking for good service as well as as a good motorhome then I consider it worth travelling further to deal with a man with David's calibre.
