Accident repairer needed

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while as we sold our Adria Twin a few years ago. We recently converted a small Fiat Doblo Maxi and had it recognised by DVLA as a campervan. My husband did most of the work himself. Sadly, he was involved in a collision with a tractor in August and the newly converted campervan, badly damaged. Luckily husband escaped unhurt. The insurers had trouble finding a garage that would repair it, even though it was a specialist policy for self build campervans. It went to a commercial van repair centre and we have had month after month of delays and excuses. When it was finally returned, the repairs were far from satisfactory and remedial work now needs to be done. Neither myself, husband or the insurer want the van to go back to the original repairer because of the poor quality of repair and I have now been tasked with finding a suitable repairer by the insurance company as they can't find one in Scotland. Not only was the external bodywork repair done badly but all the hard work my husband did insulating the vehicle to avoid condensation etc has just not been redone to a good standard. Luckily we had removed the internal 'furniture' before it went to the garage but even the panelling has not been put back straight, with multiple holes in the body work where they have tried repeatedly to fix the panels in place. An external engineer has written a scathing report. We have been waiting for over 4 months now and are having to manage with one vehicle which is a nightmare (that is another story - read your insurance well before taking out a policy). Can anyone offer us any words of advice or suggest a suitable repairer in central Scotland? Maybe even a good lawyer......! Many thanks

Thank you. I will call them. Have you had experience of their work at all? I think it likely as it is the bodywork of the Doblo van that needs repair, it may need to be a normal body shop but I'll see what they say. Thanks again.

Hi, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

We have had 3 repairs carried out there !

First was gale damage, second was some rot caused by missing sealant from new and third was damage caused by some fool reversing into his own compost bin!

The repairs are invisible ( even though I know where to look).
