HymerVan
Well :- I managed to get my van well grounded on the sand dunes on the island of Barra whilst waiting to see the twin otter aircraft land on the beach. On going to borrow a spade at the airport to dig the van out the airport fire service volunteered to pull me out using the winch on their appliance. Just as well they did because it was more stuck than I had realised. I was extremely grateful to them for this help albeit it is apparently a regular occurrence. Fortunately damage was limited to a crack on the grey water tank which East Neuk with their usual kindness and efficiency were able to repair.
