360david
Hi Everyone i have two questions regarding my 2017 escape 674 Does anyone know the capacity of the on board fresh water Tank. cant find it in the handbook anywhere Also When on site and on mains electrics, the leisure battery charge light is illuminated as it should be. But when travelling it isnt. does that mean the battery isnt charging. Finally. when on the move do you have the black button on the fuse box and charger in the on or off position. Sorry thats three questions Regards David

keninpalamos
For a moment there I thought you had 674 questions??. Reguarding the charge light. When on, the battery is being charged by your in built on board charger. It’s a pretty safe bet that when the EHU is unplugged it is not being charged by your on board charger so the indicator light goes out. When your engine is running the alternator is charging your battery. So the answer is, yes your battery is being charged but not by your inbuilt 230v charger so the little indicator light does not light. Hope that helps for that question. As for the on off button. I would leave it on but do not plug into the mains EHU with the engine running.
Derek Uzzell
David Owners Handbooks and Technical Handbooks for Swift Group motorhomes can be downloaded from here https://www.swiftgroup.co.uk/owners/handbooks I’m not sure if a Technical Handbook is always provided with a new Swift motorhome, but the one for 2017 “Escape” models is here https://orbit.brightbox.com/v1/acc-jqzwj/Swift-Group/handbooks/pdfs/000/000/251/original/2017-Escape-Motorhome-tech-book-web.pdf?1475685334 and (on Page 10) has details of water-tank and gas-locker capacities. As will be seen from the Contents list on Page 1 a lot of other useful information is included. Ken has dealt with your charge-light question. When you mention the “black button on the fuse box and charger” are you referring to the button marked “SYSTEM SHUTDOWN” at the top-left of the unit shown in the photo I have attached? This is marked “Isolate switch” in Figure 1 on Page 72 of the 2017 Motorhome Owner’s Service and Warranty Handbook https://orbit.brightbox.com/v1/acc-jqzwj/Swift-Group/handbooks/pdfs/000/000/257/original/2017-Swift-Group-Motorhomes-Handbook-web.pdf?1479472050 and would normally be left in its “ON” position (button pressed in) unless the motorhome were to be unused (eg. in storage) for a protracted period. (See Paragraph 2.2 "Activating the System” on Page 72).
