Latest Newsletter from the Caravan Channel (& Motorhome Channel)

14th January 2007 - Welcome to the first Caravan Channel newsletter of 2007

In this edition, there's news about this year's programme plans (we're making loads!) plus chances to win Show Tickets for the NEC in February, and bottles of vino when you're on your hols . . .

After working hard to build an audience, a style and a starter set of programmes in the autumn of 2006, The Caravan Channel is now ready to get into full-scale production, putting 2 or more new programmes on air onto Sky Channel 181 every month, plus special editions. Edition 5 of the series starts next week to start the new year. And don't forget that all of our programme content is also available on The Caravan Channel website - sometimes before it appears on TV.

During 2007, we intend to make over 30 hours of TV dedicated to caravanning, motorhome travel, trailer tenting and camping, to become the UK and Europe's strongest online and broadcast media dealing with all aspects of outdoor life. We'd love you to stay with us, to join in and become part of The Caravan Channel's growing success.

If you look at the front page of the site, or at the new Edition 5 programme on TV, you'll be able to meet Ruth Dugdall, our news presenter. You'll meet her on most of our new programmes from now on, with the latest news and information

We'd really like to have your input. There's a thriving forum, along with all our existing and backlog video on http://www.caravanchannel.tv/, and both the website video and our TV programme would be all the better for your input. If you make video about the places that you go to, or about your trips, we'd love to hear from you - just email us at editorial@caravanchannel.co.uk, giving us some details. We'll be putting some small tutorials about making videos for us online soon, so look out for these.

We'll be looking around for goodies to share around, too. This time, we've got some free pairs of tickets for the NEC February Caravan & Motorhome show. Send an email, saying "NEC February Show" in the subject or in the text to freebies@caravanchannel.co.uk - all entries will go into a draw on the 6th February.

And if you're planning a trip to the Dordogne this year, take a look at http://www.verdoyer.fr/ - they're offering a free bottle of wine on arrival to the first ten UK direct bookers who mention The Caravan Channel when they book; remember that you must book direct with the site for this offer to be available.

If you're a member of a caravanning club, group or community, tell your friends about The Caravan Channel - and tell The Caravan Channel about your news, too, because we're always keen to hear from you.

If you run a caravan related business, remember that The Caravan Channel TV programme is seen by TENS OF THOUSANDS OF VIEWERS every week, and The Caravan Channel website has over 1,000 unique visitors daily . . . our advertising rates and sponsorship charges are seriously competitive, and we're delighted to provide full details if you contact us via production@caravanchannel.co.uk, or phone 07931 310254 (advertising enquiries only)

Best wishes, and a brilliant new caravanning year,

Chris
