Guest chris Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Spoke to one of the organisers tonight and he confirmed that there was no problem turning up on the spur of the moment. He said that 4 of them have got together to organise the show and they are motorhomers. (Not sure if dealers but didn't sound like) He says there are about 80 vans for sale (new I think) and 50 ancillary stalls of varying interest and not all camping stuff. Also there is a food hall. I said i'd post the info where possible on the forums so hope to see a few of you there. We bought our Bessacarr 435 from 3A'S in Pencader and were more than pleased with their service and know they are attending. At least someone is setting a show up in Wales where we can camp overnight and drink our wine.
Guest Ana Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Hi Chris - yeah sounds good and I hope there is a good turnout! I posted on the other thread here also! Hope to see you there - it IS good to have a show in Wales!! Ana xx
Guest David Powell Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Spoke to a well known local family who I thought would have done well with a big stall at the show [no names, no pack drill]. Not interested they said! So I hope other dealers in in our line of goods are more enthusiastic, or the show could be a bit of a non-starter. Heres hoping for the best, plus good weather. See you all there. At least it will bring back memories of when we were younger, when we used to have our New Year Rallies there in the big hall under the stadium.
Guest David Powell Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Ah Well! Looks like there will be 8 'vans at least, the 4 organisers, us 3, and Ceri said a few weeks ago that they hoped to be there. It would be reassuring to arrive there and join a queue a mile long. A few of my mates should be there but they are coming as day visitors. Heres hoping there will be enough to warrant another show next year. It is a good area to have a motor home show, loads of lovelly places to go after for visitors from far away places.
Guest ceri gleaves Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Hi Chris, sorry cant make it to the show in Carmarthen, as David said earlier, we are off to Ireland for 6 days, Went to Peterbourgh show the weekend, maybe catch up with you in Newbury left the prebooking to late but see how things go. Ceri.
Guest Ceri Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Hi Chris, thought i would let you know or any other interested, my better half could tell me 3A`S have opened up a new site in Baglan Port Talbot, its on the old A48 dual carraigeway, between the bridge to turn off for the beach and the Briton Ferry / Swansea bridge, what used to be Baglan Car Centre, its on the right hand side when travelling down west. go to the roundabout and come back on yourself. Might save you going to Pencader for any reason. Ceri
Guest chris Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Go easy on the guiness Ceri. Will see you at Newbury next. E-mailed you earlier. Chris
