Wallynnette
Hi all, my 2014 Ducato battery appears to be giving up the ghost, I've changed 100's of car batteries in my time. But can I safely change the starter battery exactly as I would a car?. I know it sounds daft but could I create problems with the ecu etc anything to be aware of at all. Grumblewagon
Your battery isn't all that old. Is anything slowly draining it? I had to change the starter battery in my van. My local garage said, just to make sure that everything was switched off and attach the negative quickly to avoid any sparks. I note that while the positive lead has a normal bolt on clamp, the negative lead has a quick release clamp. ps. the original battery was a 'budget' brand and just over a year old when it died. I replaced it with a Bosch which has a 3 year warranty and made a great difference to the starting.
