The front wing mounted aerial on my van is at best patchy and at worst an ornament. Having fitted solar to the van I have a cable entry box on the roof so could mount an additional aerial up there and feed to the head unit. We also have a status TV aerial already up there but I'm aware that it is powered, but would it need to be switched on to function with the radio?
