Sorry to spoil you story with the facts, which are that every time Trump went on Twitter Kim Jong Un fired off another missile.

The game changer was when China and Russia agreed to sanctions. starving Kim Jon of supplies.

Now Trump and May are putting that in danger by falling out with Russia.

Whilst still trying to claim the credit for bringing Kim Jon to the negotiating table.

Oh and its North Korean, not South Korean, you got that wrong too.

"Facts" ... POTUS Trump has been on Twitter hundreds probably thousands of times so if every time he went on Twitter Kim Jon fired off "another missile" that's going to be a hell of a lot of missiles ... You do have the "Facts" to back that claim up don't ya ???

Why does everyone have to keep trying to score politcal points according to their own views ?

Can we not just be thankful that North Korea has decided to start talking and for whatever reasons the world just became a wee bit less volatile.

Let's just see how it pans out and all I would say is that yet again it all comes down to money and the prospects for negotiation seem far more likely when one party is substantially more powerful economically than another.

Let's just hope that 'ours are bigger than yours' bravado stays out of it and all parties move towards peaceful co-existence without trading insults and threats.

That's the Corbynista's view anyway ;-) .........

Kim Jong Un is ruthless, but rational enough to realise the reason he has not gone the same way as Saddam Hussein and Colonel Gadaffi is because he has got nuclear weapons.

So Trumps threatening him with military action has clearly only encouraged him to get more nuclear weapons.

Only when we got meaningful sanctions from Russia and China did we get him to negotiate.

This is not political point scoring, it is recognising what works and what doesn't - and thats extremely important.

Trying to credit Trump with getting him to negotiate by military threats is political point scoring.

And its very dangerous because it encourages military escalation!!!!!

The only button Trump needs ids a big 'OFF' button that one of his aides can push when he logs on to Twitter :-S

Maybe he should get a......... "I surrender" button......... like Corbyn? >:-) ........

So on that basis you are saying that Kim Jon-un is right to use Twitface and Trump is wrong, no less than we all expect from a misguided communist sympathiser called 'kin Jon 52.!

Yes I could have put it more accurately, but you get the gist of it. Try and put the point scoring and score settling aside and look at it logically;

Which is most likely to deter Kim Jong Ung from his nuclear weapons programme;

1) Trump threatening the sort of military action that finished Saddam Hussein and Colonel Gadaffi because they didn't have nuclear weapons.

2) China and Russia withdrawing his export revenue and vital imports like oil.

Why do some people have to keep trying to score politcal points according to their own views ?

No one has to answer those point scoring posts Rich and no ones tying anyone up making em read it either

Which does nothing to explain why some folks continue to take every opportunity to do it - unless it is purely to exercise their own egos?

So you've just explained why Richard ... Egos ... Now you know why it may be either easier to ignore them or easier to read them

Not really, the forum would be a better place and much easier to use for everyone else if the perpetrators stopped being so selfish and thought of other users than themselves.

But I suppose ego and selfish are much the same thing in this context?
