Lunar Moonstar 570

We're considering buying a 2007 model of this motorhome but the broker advertising the unit is unable to fully explain how the double bed can be made from the dinette seating. Is there anybody out there who can explain this to us and give us any feedback on this make/model motorhome?

Thanks in anticipation.

A revew of the Lunar Moonstar 570 and a YouTube video-clip are here:

with the video-clip showing pictures of the offside lounge seating that (as the review mentions) can be altered by the motorhome’s user.

carries pictures of the interior and I’ve attached the photo of the offside seat layout with a table in place.

The Moonstar 570 model was marketed as having 5 sleeping berths. There’s a double bed over the cab and the other three berths will involve re-jigging the lounge seating and, as you’ve discovered, the process of converting habitation-area seating into beds can be very perplexing.

For the Moonstar 570 a single bed should simply be produced by removing the upright cushions of the long nearside settee and sleeping on the base-cushions.

I’m guessing that a narrowish double bed can be made from the offside seating as follows:

1: First remove ALL the cushions from the offside seats

2: Bridge the two offside seat-bases using the table to form a ‘platform’ for the bed.

3: Position the two base-cushions and the front-seat’s upright cushion on the ‘platform'.

4: Add one of the upright cushions from the nearside seat to complete the bed.

The Lunar company went through a phase when their motorhomes were manufactured in Europe as “Home-Cars” and rebadged as “Lunars” for the UK market, but I think a 2007 Moonstar 570 will have been built in the UK.

(You might have difficulty obtaining ‘model specific’ parts, but that would be true for many 2007-vintage motorhomes.)
