yoko8pups
On the door side of my Hymer there are 3 covers, 2 rectangular and one smaller round one, what is the round one for and what is it called, please?
TeamRienza
Educated guess without a photo. I would suspect it is the exhaust vent for the gas water and air heater. Mine is about 4inches in diameter, white, slightly dished inwards but with a small circular protrusion in the centre. The vent sits slightly proud of the side of the van and has an alloy seating on the van’s side. You sometimes get condensation forming above it on the van side, it will be warm if you hover a hand above it when the heater is lit. Davy
Derek Uzzell
yoko8pups I’ve attached a photo of a 2005 Hymer 524GT Which ‘cover’ are you referring to? If it’s the round thing just the rear of the rear wheel-arch and above it, then (as TeamRienza says) it’s the end of the air-intake/exhaust for the gas-burner of a Truma heater. Truma refer to it as a ‘wall cowl’. https://www.leisureshopdirect.com/gas/water/truma-heaters/wall-flue-cmw-bianco-c-w-cover-kkc
