lizken Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 We are thinking about trying this in July. Anyone have experience of previous FICC rallies, and what are roads like between Belfastb and Cork
Guest starspirit Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 As of about two years ago the road from Belfast to Cork started as a two lane motorway and ended as a two way B road. No problem but just allow plenty of time.
machinehead Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I think you'll need to allow 6 hours no matter how you drive. Belfast to Dublin is now all M-way. (Part tolls, have about 6/8 euro ready) South of Dublin is good for most of the way. It's a pleasant enough drive. Frank
colleen Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Hi Kenneth good advice to have euros for tolls as they do not accept sterling coins. log on to aaroadwatch.ie (routeplanning), their directions are always spot on. six hours should be plenty but if its a bank holiday weekend budget for seven at least. motorway/dual carraigeway most of the journey. Go N'eiri an bothar leat - (old Irish saying "May the road rise to meet you") have a safe journey Colleen
