Randonneur
We used cheese wire (be careful its very sharp) wrapped around two dowels, one at either end to act as handles. Worked very well then cleaned the remainder of the adhesive with a cloth in some kind of spirit but can't remember which one.
fesspark
Thanks I think I read where someone said white spirit cleans adhesives off? Cheers Fesspark
weldted
If you pour boiling water on the plate before you start the cheese wire will cut more easily as the aluminium plate will expand and stretch the adesive
globebuster
Didn't we discuss this back in November? Cheesewire, Isopropyl, Fein or similar tool, Lubrication (water) All of the above will see it removed. Or just leave it alone! I could probably remove it - at a cost of course??
