colleen Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential scams but I had a close miss today. I walked into B&Q at lunchtime and some old guy dressed in orange asked me if I wanted decking. Fortunately, I got the first punch in and that was the end of that. Those less suspecting might not be so lucky Be careful out there.....!! (lol)
tonyishuk Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Its usually the one liners that are best. My sons friend who is a fireman and a bit of a liability (read Livewire) attended an "incident" at our local Monastery in Henfield. When winding down after the callout with a cuppa and a biscuit with some of the monks , he told a rather racey joke about a monk and a nun. (Being PC is not too strong a point with him). It was reported that one of the monks, with almost Jack Dee like delivery said " You seem to enjoy fighting fires in this world, it looks as if you will be doing the same in the next" Rgds
