Not that our resident EU surrender monkeys will see it that way >:-) ..........

Funny but the same person was only too happy to take advantage of cheap steel imported from China to build his gross tower slabs with migrant labour....he didn't buy US steel.

You mean a business man looking to cover his tracks because he didn't want anyone to know.

The origin of the steel used to build the Trump hotel in Las Vegas was hidden through a tangle of “various corporate entities, including holding companies registered in the British Virgin Islands," a popular location for offshore entities who place a premium on, ahem, discretion.

It's very relevant as it clearly shows the sheer hypocrisy of the man...."i'm alright Jack, stuff you, i don't give a damn about the US steel industry". He's a fake, a charlatan.....wake up.

No he hasn't, all he's done is show himself up for the clown he is. Are you really so stupid and naive to believe neither China or the EU won't fight back with tariffs on US imports? He behaves like a petulant little child.

I seem to recall Trump asked Junker to meet him so it was hardly the manner which you prefer to imagine.

Really :D ..........

"That said, the key problem in the EU is that different nations are displaying different levels of interest in a trade fight with Trump, making it hard to take advantage of its inherent economic heft and act in unison. As long as Germany is less interested in fighting this war than France because of the importance of its U.S. exports, the EU is hamstrung in its decision-making. ***This makes it more likely that it will yield to Trump’s demands." ***

I don't see anywhere in that article to suggest Juncker "begging forgiveness". That was just in your over imaginative mind of how youwanted it to be. Also you overlooked this bit in your anxiety to prostrate yourself.

Perhaps Trump thinks that because he can impose tariffs on more goods than the Europeans, the U.S. will win the game. He may also believe that his threat of steep tariffs on cars will compel Germany to force the EU to capitulate because Chancellor Angela Merkel won’t want to hurt her export-oriented auto industry.

While Trump somewhat effectively employed this strategy with South Korea, it may not work with the EU.

If the EU manages to unite, however, the bloc could focus on becoming more competitive in other markets, such as China – where many American exports are now subject to tariffs – which would hurt the U.S. So there is an opening for the EU to sell goods to China that previously the Chinese would have bought from the U.S.

Guess what the majority love him but two of em totally against him ... Now he may not be for all Americans but what President ever is ??? ... None of em attacked his missus or daughter with personal insults though like you do and none of em mentioned throwing his son to paedophiles either like one bang on Peter Fonda ... Let's Make America Great Again it says on my cap which attracted em to me and God Bless America he sure is

Tariffs are just a poncy word for another form of taxation and a very convenient way to blame others for a government's own failures and cock ups.

As a member of the EU all tariff income goes to the EU and we know how wisely they spend our money.

Post Brexit, UK tariff income will go to the UK governement to fund benefits for those whose jobs are lost as a result of a poorly executed Brexit.

We do know how good every governement has proven to be at spending our money on covering their own tracks and ensuring their own survival.

On the 31st of July Trump told a rally that US steel where going to build 6 new plants, which sounds great.

When US steel where asked about this they where a bit confused as they have no such plans.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/steel-maker-jsw-to-build-new-plant-invest-500m-after-trump-tariffs

Through its parent company, JSW Group, it’s investing upwards of $500 million in the old Ohio steel plant that was built in 1929, instead of constructing a new facility in India.

Looks like Tariff's are great :D ...........
