pepe63xnotuse
Hi.. Anything like it on here..? https://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan-accessories/rubber-and-plastic-parts/door-and-locker-rubber https://www.olearymotorhomes.co.uk/index.asp?function=search https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=caravan+locker+door+seal ..etc.... Failing that, as a temporary "fix", is there a suitable face that would take a run of self-adhesive sponge rubber, to align with the failing(squished?) rubber? Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. The Seals+Direct company markets an extensive range of seals. https://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/index.asp You may not be able to find in their downloadable catalogue an exact replacement for the original design of seal Autocruise were using in 2007, but you may well be able to identify a current seal that will do the job as effectively. Just to add that I have used this company and had a successful result a couple of times. What they will do is send a small sample piece of whichever types you think will do the job. jjsbc
I have a 2007 swift kontiki the gas locker has holes in the floor for any gas to exit if there are any leaks, one presumes yours would be similar, the door on mine has never looked like the seals would ever have sealed properly and because it is external I presume it is built of water resisant material, water in water out wouldn't worry

jjsbc
Just checked your van configuration looks like your gas locker floor is at same level as your internal floor level. Are you sure it's the seals?your door is side hinged but is it slam locked on my kontiki floor level of the gas locker is about 150mm below floor the door latches are not very positive "slam locked" and all my lockers are about the same, but in saying that have never suffered water ingress I have looked at twist locks but it's difficult to fit them and make them look like original equipment. Derek Uzzell
The 1st attached photo is said to be of a 2007 Autocruise “Wentworth” model and the position of the gas-locker door suggests that the base of the gas-bottle compartment will be well above the Wentworth’s interior floor. The Wentworth gas-locker’s ‘handle’ looks like the lock is a Zadi turn-to-secure/push-to-lock type (2nd attached photo). This is the type of lock fitted to my Rapido’s quite large rear-garage and gas-locker doors, and how tight the ‘grip’ is against the door-seal can be adjusted (to some degree) by judiciously bending the lock’s metal latching lever (on left of 2nd photo). However, although each of the Rapido’s locker doors has a rubber seal around the door-frame and also around the rear edge of the door - and the garage door is fully watertight - water will find its way through the upper seals of the Rapido’s gas-locker door if a hose is played directly against it. Colin (Dampy) has said that the gas-locker door of his Wentworth has seals on only three of its sides, so it seems pretty much inevitable that water will enter unless something is done to stop it. I would have thought it should be practicable to add/replace seals that would prevent rainwater entering, though (as in my Rapido’s case) care would still need to be taken when washing the vehicle. There is an Autocruise-specific section on the MHFacts and MHFun websites https://forums.motorhomefacts.com/50-autocruise-motorhomes/ https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/forums/autocruise-ch.28/ so it might be worth Colin asking about this issue there, just in case an owner has come up with an effective fix.
