Derek Uzzell
I’m not sure what type of feedback you are seeking.. I’ve looked at your earlier forum postings and valuable advice on buying a first motorhome was provided here https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Should-of-asked-this-first-Colin-HELP-/51824/ An ebay advert for a 1999 Starfire is here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTOCRUISE-STARFIRE-2-BERTH-1999-Motorhome-for-sale-/113674911026 The photos show the internal layout. and the description (though sketchy) should help you. I don’t know if any forum-member currently owns a late-1990s Starfire and could provide chapter-and-verse information, but the most important thing when considering buying a 20-year-old motorhome is to make sure that that there are no hidden horrors (damp, rust, etc.) that will cost a fortune to put right. flicka
Have a look on motorhome facts, there's a review of a 2005 model, which on the same base vehicle. I'd advise a test drive as you may find you think it's underpowered. Peugeot Boxer 1.9 litre, engine on 3300kg chassis (not 3500kg) so a weighbridge check for available payload would be prudent. Derek Uzzell
I’m guessing this is the MHFacts review https://www.motorhomefacts.com/modules.php?name=MReviews&op=show&rid=40 That forum also carries this 2006 Starfire-related discussion https://forums.motorhomefacts.com/50-autocruise-motorhomes/15247-autocruise-starfire.html On-line adverts for 1990s Starfires generally quote the vehicle’s maximum overall weight as 2800kg (advert for 1998 Starfire here) https://www.northdevonmotorhomes.co.uk/previous-stock/sold-autocruise-starfire/ The model had a very sensible layout for such a short vehicle, with (as evident from the attached file) a particularly good toilet/washroom. Robinhood
...contemporaneous MMM listings show it based on a 1.9td, at 2800kg MAM, and a 'payload' of 429kg (though, of course, what that payload included and excluded at the time is open to debate).
