Ninian
Hi, I don't know about your model but on my 2014 van, I just remove the centre fibreglass disc with the same key I use for the hab. door and lockers which then reveals a large nut that is holding the outer casing and wheel to the van. Joe1955
Up to that stage you have mentioned is no problem, the issue I have is how do you remove the actual cover, are you supposed to just pull it towards you? because mine just won't pull away. Ninian
Hi, Yes, once you remove the nut and big washer by hand the outer fibreglass will pull away from the van. It could be that its never been removed and is just stuck to the body shell. I always remove mine before I go on a long trip just to pump the tire up and ensure it isn't flat. Joe1955
Ok thanks for your help, I'll give it a good tug and hopefully that will do the trick... Thanks again.
Ninian
Hi, You'll find that you have to lift the wheel away from the van to get at the tire valve as its next to the body shell if you want to check the pressure.

Chudders
I have extended the valve with a1 foot long flexible extension so that it is accessible and I don't have to remove the wheel to check the pressure or pump it up.
Derek Uzzell
The attached image shows an Auto-Trail motorhome’s spare-wheel cover detached from the vehicle. It’s evident that there’s a ‘seal’ on the cover’s rear edge and (as Ninian has advised) this could easily adhere to the vehicle’s bodywork. (There seems to be nothing on-line to suggest that detaching the cover has proved difficult once the central disc/lock has been removed, so the chances are minimal that anyone would have produced a video showing how to get the cover off.)
