Larambuk Posted September 5, 2019 Share Posted September 5, 2019 I've recently purchased a 16 autotrail v line 605. Our intention is to do as much off grid camping as possible. We've noticed that we fill our water tank before trips away and by the time we reach our destination we've lost a proportion of the fresh water tank during travelling through the over flow pipes. Autotrail technical help suggests this is the design and how it should operate. My question is, has anyone modified the overflow pipes and added a tap which can be open during filling and shut after? Or is there a pressure valve that can be added to operate during filling but not for the sloshing of the tank? chickster123 Posted September 6, 2019 Share Posted September 6, 2019 Hi we bought a Auto trail 610 v line last year 2018 plate, and we had the same water problems that you are having, spoke to the Dealer and Auto trail but there was nothing they could do, and as you have said once you get to your destination you only have just over half a tank left, very annoying, so we just had to find and fill up with fresh water every two days, we now have a Bailey Advance 742 and it is a lot better holding the water. weldted Posted September 6, 2019 Share Posted September 6, 2019 We had the same problem on our Bessacar put a non return vale in the end of the overflow pipe to let air in, when the tank is full it just runs out of the filler.
