Hi Talbot - I've recently bought an old Euro Mobil motorhome, 1992, a 2.5 non-turbo diesel model with PAS, on a Peugeot J5 chassis cab too, which as you might know, is basically exactly the same beast as the Talbot, and also the Citroen C25 van too.

I ordered one of the Peter Merrik service handbooks for it (from his own site rather than from No1 Gear - just Google it and you'll get his web page).

Arrived here in Spain last week within 1 week of ordering it over the phone - excellent!

As the book itself says, it won't tell you how to clean the windscreen or top up the oil, but it will tell you all the big stripdown/rebuild stuff, and its got all the torque settings etc. Good diagrams too.

My only criticism would be that the quality of printing is pretty dire, which makes reading some of the drawings (eg electric ones) very difficult. But maybe I got a bad copy. If you are even half handy as a DIY mechanic, you really need this book, or the Haynes equivalent if you want to pay twice the price.

All in all, I would say excellent value - and I think the one book covers all three marques, and all engine variations, but do check with them just to make absolutely sure it covers yours.

I probably need to replace the heater matrix of a 1992 Talbot J5 (petrol) van. I sent for the CD mentioned here but find it's the owners manual which I already have. Tried googling the Peter Merrick website as suggested but having scrolled through a few hundred entries have given up. Can anyone give a link? No 1 Gear is currently charging £18.95.but if the author's website is cheaper..............
