Nothing stopping us rejoining.

That depends on which direction we head in once we leave. If we leave with no deal which is the aim of those in charge now they are more likely to turn to the USA than to accept the conditions and standards of the EU in order to get a "proper" trade deal so our standards will slip and fall out of alignment with Europes and we will become the 51st state of America. When that proves to be as dreadful as some of us think it will be getting back through the EU door will not be that easy.

All been posted before. Its like Brian says, you just dont absorb any of it and wont listen to reason. Its well known that the standards on many goods and food products for example from the USA are well below par of that of Europe as are their regulations on animal welfare, environmental standards and workers rights. The further we go down that route post Brexit the further we drift away from any kind of alignment and any chance of pulling ourselves back up to a suitable level to rejoin.

Building standards, electrical regs, plumbing standards in Eu are below ours. American standards definitely not high. However French road surfaces always seam to be better than uk. Scotland’s roads are appalling.

I don't know anything about their electricity or plumbing regs but can safely say their property build standards are way superior to the "rabbit hutch" boxes that get thrown up here in a matter of weeks as new builds.

Not anti Tory or Anti USA, Ive told you before. Im anti what this Tory party has morphed into and Anti Trump, not Anti USA. I would rather stick with the EU though than swap it for America and Ive explained why on numerous occasions. If you think the EU gave us a crappy deal and were controlling, golly wait until you see how your idol treats us.

There's nowt wrong about our standards ;-) ...........

As I have discovered over the past few years, especially when it comes to renting :-| ..........

Apparently as the owner I was allowed to live in the hovel I'd bought, but curiously it was substandard for renting? :-S ........

I guess my acceptable standards of accommodation are lower than others? 8-) ........

I'm now as happy as Larry full timing in our near 30 year old camper B-) .......

Germans did make very good bunkers.

Using EU people to build them. Polish, French, Czech, Hungarian etc.

German building standards may have been good but their Health and Safety policy was very poor. *-)

Private properties (houses or apartments)........spend a few years visiting there and meet German friends like i did and see for yourself.

Ive been to Germany 3 times thanks and find most of what I have seen beautiful and the folk I have met friendly decent folk but that doesnt explain how or why their building standards are "way superior" to ours ... You said you could "safely say" so please safely say away and explain

I know your on this princess but you did say you could "safely say" what your knowledge was on "way superior" German building standards ... I know your a busy man with family commitments n'all so thats fine but some kind of proof would be good sweet cheeks ... Regards

The old unfounded US standards line again eh ??? ... You struggling ... Youve told us before youve studied all things Brexit so lets have some 100% proof of these slips in standards that are going to endanger so many of us ???

Try German roads......oh and yea you can drive on 'em on Sundays too! :D

I don't know anything about their electricity or plumbing regs but can safely say their property build standards are way superior to the "rabbit hutch" boxes that get thrown up here in a matter of weeks as new builds.

Those building standards you say you can "safely say" are "way superior" to ours could you "safely" name some of them please
