steve hill
Off to La Palma (and other islands) in the Canaries in the new 7m van, We haven't been to the Canaries in our van for 5 years and never to La Palma. Has anyone been to La Palma island in a van recently and has some tips to offer. Thanks
flyboyprowler
I can't help regarding camping, but we stopped there a couple of years ago on a cruise, and fell in love with the place, even considering getting a holiday home there!! Enjoy, I am really jealous!
mikebeaches
We've holidayed on La Palma, but not with the van - only a rental car. It is a lovely place, and don't see any reason travelling in a MH should present any particular problem. If you haven't been before, the island of La Gomera is also well worth a visit. We are regulars there. Ferry crossing from Los Cristianos, Tenerife is only 50 minutes on the Fred Olsen fast ferry, or 10-15 minutes longer on the Armas ro-ro ferry. lakeland
My son has just booked ferries to La Palma, in a converted Transit, setting off a couple of weeks. A long journey, have you made plans to go there.
steve hill
Yes we have already been and are now in Tenerife. Lovely green island compared to the others, great for hiking, steep roads and mountains with great views when clear. Use Park4Night app for camping help. Do drive to the top of Los Muchachos Mountain and also walk in the de Caldera de Taburiente. In a transit you will be able to drive everywhere, we were in a 7 meter van. We are moving next to Fuerte. Weather about 22degc in the day and sunny, 17 at night.
zeddykay
Love the island and other Canaries.,only been by air. Never seen any campsites. Interested to know full details of how you got there with a camper and how you dealt with water and disposal of waste etc.
