Mel B
Anyone any suggestions for a nice little place to go for a few days over Easter? Not too far from Hull (hour or so) which takes dogs, not full of kids. Can't think of anywhere to go! Serious suggestions please, I couldn't stand parking in Howie's backyard and I don't think he could either!
Guest bil h
bil says there's a site at Walkington he passed last year, should be quiet there, not far from the pub and village. BB

howie
You,re welcome to come and stay with me anytime Mel, but failing that try Kirkstead Holiday Park at Sutton on Sea. A short walk to the beach and ideal for the dogs. Tel 01507 441483.
Dave Newell
Hi Mel, why not try a web search? That's what I did a couple of years ago when we were in a similar situation and we found a cracking little site just 27 miles from home. We now try to go there whenever we can. D. Wingpete
Try a little ride up to Naburn. near York. A 19 from Selby Next to River Ouse, nice pub in the village, does great Yorkshire puddings with onion gravy. If you go for Sunday lunch, skip the first course, as the roast will have another enormous pudding as well. Just a ten minute bus ride into York, where you can spend days looking around, as there is so much to see. There is another campsite not far from there, in Wheldrake Lane, off A 19 as well. next to forrestry commision "forrest" and a walk through the woods to Elvington airfiled, where there is a good museum of WW2 stuff and later airplanes, plus there is usually some motor sport related activities on the strip. That's where that Hammond driven jet car had an error.
