Fire Angel

Can the "Fire Angel" warning alarm device become faulty? The reason I ask is because mine has sounded on numerous occasions for no apparent reason. I replaced the battery but it still went off intermittently, I've even tested the alarm and reset and checked the battery voltage (9 and bit volts) still the same problem >:-(

When I took delivery of my Rapido motorhome in April 2015 it had been fitted with a Fire Angel smoke alarm powered by a replaceable 9-volt battery.

Within a few months the alarm began to ‘beep’ spontaneously and regularly. It was plain that this was not due to a too-low battery voltage, so I contacted Fire Angel who replaced the unit under warranty.

As phalange has said, you could try vacuuming the alarms’s apertures to see if that does any good, but if this fails to address the issue, replacement won’t be expensive.
